We train all ages, men and women. While our goal is competition, we try to inspire that. But any contact is only optional. Boxing is a personal pursuit, so everyone has his/her personal reasons. Those reasons are all respected and accommodated.
We traditionally do individual coaching all hours of the gym. We call it open coaching in which coaches monitor practice and give instructions and answer questions, guiding individuals while they follow the programs we provide. This is how active competing fighters learn and train daily.
Members can participate in team drills, scheduled runs, and schedule open sparring under coach’s supervision. When members show they are improving and following the program directions, at no extra charge they can advance to more technical training including padwork, invites, tour spars, and competition if desired.
That is fully allowed. All gym hours have open gym. Anyone who expresses interest and is receptive can get coached, and anyone else can just use the gym and still be a part of the team.
Yes. We offer classes which we sometimes refer to as semi-privates because we typically have small groups. The classes are organized and are a supplemental free service. All classes are for beginners and intermediates.
Yes. We have kids classes that are also a free service. We encourage parents to bring their children outside of class hours as well for more intensive and detailed training. Kids usually “graduate” to open hours.
Yes. Private 1 on 1 training is a free service for full members who are actively on the road to competition, but if any member wants pad work and is not advanced enough to get the full benefit, there is a discounted fee for members to have a dedicated coach. If you just want the experience of hitting mitts and getting more attention, you have that option.
Yes. After you become part of the team and have been with us for 18 months, you get fingerprint/key access to go to the gym any time unless there is a special event happening.
